When it rains, it pours

It has been raining down here in Florida - quite a bit.  We need it a lot, but it has made it difficult to let the boys out to play as much as I would like.  And in Florida when it rains, it usually pours.  It is a bit like life that way.   Last night's storm was definitely a example of this.  It started off with distant rumbling.  Then the lightning strikes and thunder were simultaneous.  Then, our tv didn't work anymore.  After the storm, I took the garbage out to the curb for our early morning pickup.  It was at this point, I notice that the windows were down on the car.  I love my DH but he has a tendency to forget to lock the doors on the vehicles and the boys had climbed in to play.  I hate that game, but that's a topic for another post.  At the same time, my six year old (who will be seven before summer is over) decided to close the vertical blinds and broke that.  So, lots of raining and pouring.  Earlier in the day, I saw a tow truck (okay the driver) tow away my neighbor's truck to be fixed.  Throughout all of our fun, I kept reminding myself that at least my van still worked.  This worked fine until DH reminded me that the TV was probably worth more than the van.   However, we are all still happy and more or less healthy so it still is good.  Things good be worse, and we are still getting much needed rain with some sunshine as well.

In The Beginning

Hi.  I've been reading and commenting on people's blog for years.  Now, it is my turn.  Everything is likely to show up here - happiness, frustration, politics, or, during one of my son's posts, information about Windows.  I'm the Florida native mother of two boys.   I'm also married to a native Floridian. I will frequently let my soon to be seven year old blog.  Part of the reason I created this blog was to give him an outlet for writing.
